Strong headwinds I presume? I was on the NRT - SFO NWA flight yesterday - the map display showed 270 kmsph+ tailwinds on that flight about 15 mins out of SFO airfield. So maybe the ATL flight got caught in the same jet stream (or whatever) except in the wrong direction?
