Soft shell not from California?
I don't think the soft shell crabs are from here. I think they're from the east coast. I usually get them when I visit my friends in Baltimore. ^

We have Dungeness Crab and a few close cousins like Rock Crab and Red Crab in California, but I think the season starts around Thanksgiving, not now.
