Not only are you paying a premium for the miles, make sure that after renting and waiting for your miles that Budget does not tell you that "that particular location is not participating". I seem to recall in a recent promotion involving miles and MQMs that someone who posted in this forum ran into that issue. Seems like if Budget "participates" all Budget locations should be required to participate. Delta gets people all excited about chasing miles and then they go through many hoops to get them; i.e. (a) paying a premium to get the miles, (b) having people find out that certain vendor locations "are not participating in this promotion" after purchasing the product, or (c) read the Sightseer challenge threads to see what a fiasco it was initially to try and even vote. Some of these promotions sound great but turn out to be a hassle. To the starter of this thread, this is in no way a criticism of your post. I think it is great when anyone posts new ways to get miles. This is strictly a criticism of Delta which in my opinion has done a really poor job of handling the nuts and bolts of its recent promotions. If one reads the posts concerning recent promos in other threads, Delta really did put a lot of people through unnecessary time and effort to try and get their miles. My only point is that each person should analyze if in fact a new promo is really as good as it sounds in light of all of the above factors. Some will find it worth it, for others, the hassle factor and jacked up prices to get the miles and the hassle to get the miles to post may not be worth it.
