Even though I'm a Prem. Exec. I've got some very basic questions:


1 - How do I get to use my 500 mile upgrade certificates?

I've now amassed a pile of 500 certificates as I nearly always fly direct LHR <--> SFO with no internal american flights. Now I'm scheduled to do an internal flight (ORD --> SAT) in the New Year and would like to use a couple of them, if only for the novelty value.
FYI, they're the old paper certificates. Oh, and when I look on line, I booked it through united.co.uk, it says that there are no upgradable itineraries.


2 - The car rental coupons

From reading the small print on the back it seems that I can get a "free" weekend rental as I also have a bunch of these. (OK, I've gotta pay CDW and whatever other insurances they tack on). How do I book these on the Web? There seems to be no way to enter the fact I want to use multiple coupons into the booking engines.
