It hides its size well.
The measure here is by floor area, and the reason Nagoya wins is because the station has enormous towers on top which hold the offices of JR Central. So it totals out at something like 450,000 square meters.
Agreed that Shinjuku FEELS much larger, though I think GCT in New York has more platforms.
