I recall a friend of mine saying he turned down Concorde (is that R?) when he was a kid (the lucky b*stard) in favour of F when he had a seat on both. Got to love the big seats and movies for hours. His dad always preferred R.

Senior guys at work always say how R was amazing. Not the class per se , but that it was so easy to travel to Paris/London, the convenience is unparalleled. Others say it misses the part where all the Y cabin can watch you board and be jealous (for those who like that). Plus you still drink (and eat) well (lounge?) and enjoy perks at airports, both ends. You also dont feel as bad after a 3hr flight as opposed to 7hr one. I suppose if you fly 2+ times a week across the atlantic the novelty is off and you just want to do it quickly to be home for dinner.

All these private jet companies are doing well because people dont like hassle of airports, its more flexibile etc. So there clearly is the cash for it. A Concorde-esque option could take hold of some of this market (not sure how much private travel, if any, is transatlantic or long-distance!).

R, 200TP each way, 2x miles, limo transfers, seperate check-in, security, lounge, a bottle of Dom - its got to be the way.
