Maybe we need to wait 40 years like the Mini, the Beetle and Fiat 500!

Surely there are enough cross-atlantic/pacific routes with wealthy individuals or business centres that would make developing even only a jet that goes as fast as Concorde. Change the Deltawing design, throw on some composites and titanium to make it light and efficient, add in some more seats et voila Mach 2 and NY for breakfast.

A: Sure, so its my opinion that it could be the best engineering acheivement, but just mine, don't get me wrong. Not heer to argue that point, perhaps it was a hyperbole to set the stage for discussion. In any case, I like fast mechanised things. Its like I prefer the McLaren F1 to the Veyron. Eurotunnel is amazing, no doubt, but just doesnt impress me in the same way. And neither does the A380 particularily. Though I do say, I find it amazing everytime the 747 takes off fully-laden.
