If the sound is the same thing I'm thinking of, I never thought of it as a barking dog, but kind of like someone taking a saw back and forth, back and forth. The good news is every time I hear it, it is after the plane arrives at the gate , so I am not worried. If I ever hear it before the plane is supposed to pull away from the gate....that might be another story.
