I have burned a few points trying to get Diamond (currently Gold) and have never gotten an upgraded room on points. One time one of the hotels was oversold and moving people about 3 miles down the road to an Embassy and I asked if I could volunteer and she said no because I was not a revenue customer. My response to her was "If I was a revenue customer coming in at midnight and having to go to work the next morning I would be pissed if I got walked and had to tack on another 30 minutes before I could get to bed" rolleyes:
