What if you purchase an F award, but the flight out of BKK happens to be a 2-class plane. You are then technically in Connoisseur class, not in First class (even though you paid miles for F). Do you still get to go to the F lounge and enjoy the free full-body massage at the spa?
My guess is "no" even though it seems somewhat unfair.
