I, too, have faced the empty-bottle inconsistency, and it's just more idiocy. Unless you got your bottle in outer space -- and even then! -- it's not empty. It contains lots of gas molecules at a minimum, some of which no doubt are water vapor. Drinking from your bottle can't totally empty it -- and doesn't even come very close, really. Finally, Kip claims that the problem is the container, anyway, not what's inside.
The fact is that nobody understands what they're doing or why. Under such circumstances, people make up rules. It's inevitable.
