Take those miles
A few years ago I was sent a corporate card to use for travel expenses, it has never emerged from the mailing envelope it was sent to me in and sits to this day in a safe in my office gathering dust. There is no real demand from managment that I use it, so I use my personal AMEX and recieve cash back or points on everything I do.
My company travel policy allows employees to keep all miles/points for all company travel because they understand that these perks are super valuable for the traveling employee and a happy employee works harder, plus it costs them nothing at the end of the day. How many extremely valuable and desirable perks can you give an employee that cost you nothing? Not many!
Hopefully your company is typical and does not steal your miles and points. Push the envelope a little with the corporate card and see what you can get away with!
