I've started to notice this on short haul domestic flights. Plenty of F seats, and plenty of upgrades into F, but no awards into F? I thought UA was trying hard to get those outstanding miles redeemed? Not that many would burn 45/90K for a short haul domestic, but I would think that UA would at least open up the possibility to clear miles off the books. Or, are they hoping that enough people use the 15K miles to upgrade? Just seems a bit odd to me.
