I have not flown US domestic and not sure what to expect.

I am travelling with a 2 year old son. So I am a bit terrified to be for 5.5 hours in a A321. I like the A321 (being from Europe), but my longest ride was about 2.5 hours in such a plane.

So will it be cramped in economy class with an over booked plane?
Is there any free water or even free orange juice? Or what is the price I can expect?
Shall I even bother to buy the on board food?

How is PHL? I am connecting from FRA-PHL and have 2.5 hours transfer time.
Is PHL notoriously delayed and baggage lost?

I am always called in for immigration 2:e screening. Someone know if they are as nice in PHL as in Newark and SFO vs. really painful Charlotte.
