Not true - the galley is in front of F, behind the cockpit. I have never had problems with disturbances in either cabin (i.e. people going through F on a 772, or people using the cupboard near 1AK on a 744). I would prefer the 747 though just because it's so cool being right in the nose and they're just amazing machines! But the 777 in F is actually nicer to 'be' in (at least on a day flight) IMHO since the cabin is far brigther, more airy and more spacious.
