I have been on two BA flights when AVOD has failed and the crew haven't been able to get the distributed system to work either, leaving the passengers with nothing at all. On the other hand, I have completed 12 flights on Cathay Pacific in the last 8 weeks - AVOD has worked perfectly on every single one of them.

I don't accept the arguments that BA's problems are partly due to the difficult conditions. Most other airlines can get their systems to work nearly all of the time, BA cannot. There should be no excuses for this.
