We've had a number of complaints about this thread either 1) going off-topic from the OP's complaint or 2) suggestions that the OP was trolling and why isn't this thread closed.

As for the former concern, it would be nice if discussions of dress-code that aren't specifically related to safety and security issues be taken up in TravelBuzz!; and to the latter concern, please continue to use the RBP function to alert mods of housekeeping issues, rather than detracting from legitimate, topical posts.
