I find the e-timetable useful, since I always have it with me on my laptop. I have no spare room to carry the paper timetable, but I have to carry the laptop anyway.

It makes it easy to see when equipment and schedules change, for example, try displaying the HNL-SFO or HNL-LAX schedules from Dec 10 - Dec 20. Major changes occur around Dec 15th.

It isn't very useful too far out, especially when you see end dates with X's in them. For example, we know that UA43 & 44 are currently ending in mid-Feb because that's when they retire the DC10's and they haven't reached an agreement with the pilots to fly the 2-class 777's on that route yet, yet the e-timetable shows no end dates.

You do have to update it monthly and if you have a reasonable broadband connection to the internet, it only takes a few minutes.

It's just another tool for your toolbox. If you find it useful, keep it. If not, well, you know what to do with it.
