Even with the $75 booking fee this trip still makes sense, for a couple of reasons-
#1: Probably my final flight of the year, and I'm 2300 miles short of the next set of 500 milers. An SFO-LAS trip won't make any difference there.
#2: I've got two kids each with 17k miles in their accounts, set to expire on 12/31/2007.

(And it's not as if I haven't taken them on trips using my miles in the past, including several upgrades, so robbing from "their" accounts doesn't particularly trouble me, y'know?

This will be an interesting trip. I hate Las Vegas, so I've put everything off until the last minute. Denial, pretending maybe I don't have to go. But I do. So tomorrow morning I'll do Priceline for a hotel and United for the award tix and if something goes wrong... gee, guess I don't go!
