This is even more important when you're on a J or F int'l flight. Who wears slacks and a button down to lie-flat and sleep? Granted, a tank-top and pajama pants would definitely be going a bit over the top, but the average person with an even partially intact sense of common decency can choose something that's both comfortable and acceptable.
Some people will complain no matter what. It's like reading hotel reviews on tripadvisor.com. Even the 5-star resorts that have staff to do everything but assist you while using the biday wind up with the occasional 1-star response from a customer. For them, the biday water was either too cold or too hot; never just right.
