I experienced a first today - landed on Runway 17-35 at PHL on SW3050. Our Boeing 737-700 had to come to a VERY quick stop (obviously, the runway is long enough, but ...).

I've been flying out of PHL for years, and I've only ever been on a regional jet on that runway.

Does anyone know why we might have used that shorter runway at PHL? Again, I think this is very rare!
