Contrariwise, however, the law doesn't determine whether the activity is a violation of Marriott rules. Further, the fact that the property is hosting the event isn't definitive either because we know nothing about the interworkings of the rule, or to what extent Marriott enforces the rule on its properties, or how Marriott interprets the rule, or whether or not the property sought Marriott's approval of the arrangments or whether that was even necessary.
