Strategy for dealing with checked luggage on turnaround

In a couple of weeks, my wife and I are scheduled to arrive at LHR on BA122 at 18:05 and then fly out on BA109 at 21:40 which arrives in DXB at 7:40 the next morning and then we reboard and fly back on that plane (BA108) to LHR, scheduled departure at 9:10. We will have two large checked bags, plus two carry-ons. Any suggestions on the best way to deal with the checked luggage?

Specifically, which of these four alternatives seems most feasible: (a) check the luggage just to LHR, leave the transit area, collect it, store it at left luggage and then check in for BA109 and reclaim our luggage when we get back to LHR- will there be time for this?, (b) check the luggage to DXB, then pick it up at DXB and recheck it in for the trip back to LHR- will there be time for this?, (c) check the luggage all the way MRU-LHR-DXB-LHR, and hope that it gets put back on the BA108 on the turnaround, (d) check the luggage just to LHR and don't pick it up when we first arrive at LHR but try to find it the next day when we return to LHR. Thoughts on these alternatives (or others?) would be much appreciated. All this assuming, of course, that the luggage actually appears when and where it is supposed to.
