Often when asking to SDC onto another flights, agents spout off sure, but it's $50 automatically...then they look at the boarding pass and immediately say there's no charge. Even when not doing SDC, I find agents recognize the status on their own.

I do, however, have to consistently point it out to AF staff who are less vigilant about checking for things like that during situations where it is important to have status (extra bag fees, etc.).
