Yes that is true. But the major issue I have with LH's service is that it is no segmented. There are no zones for frequent flyers, so there is nothing that keeps you from being planted between a bunch of weird rookies.
Also I am not friend of the free booze in coach. I had several unpleasant incidents with pax getting solid on LH flights and misbehaving and then the FAs show their "don't care attitude".

The lack of elite space combined with the RyanAir-ish legroom, and the absence of IFE .... yes it is worse than many, many carriers out there. Not every carrier but many.
