I would not use miles, if your flexible, you can get fares under NT$5,00(US$150) on TPE/KHH-HKG routes. Once in while there is sales in NT$4,000 range, and TG is normally cheapest on this route as they have poor schedule compared to Ci/BR/CX.
I guess it's really too early to book flights for next May/June, because i can't find any tickets < $300 so far. I think I'll check back later, and hopefully, those good deals (~$150) will be available early next year. Thanks for the information!
