BKK-NRT does seem heavily booked this month. However, I have never received an op-up or bump departing from BKK -- has anyone else? (from NRT to BKK is a different story.) Maybe its because I don't get to the BKK airport until 5am for the 6am flight, and so they've already bumped people or identified volunteers before I arrive?
At least one more besides me, probably several people got an OP-up on BKK-NRT segment on Sept 20th. The check-in agent told me she did not think they would need volunteers, and if they did, they would seem volunteers among those going as far as NRT only. It makes sense, but it's not always possible to find one or more volunteer among those who are not travelling beyond NRT or Japan.
