Looks like you might have to go all award on Star Alliance or shell out $2000+ (in Y) for a multi airline itinerary. OR you can buy a RT from SFO-HKG which is coming out to be around $1030 in Q Class on United on UA869 then get an Intra South Asia *A award for 60,000 in C. If you stayed within North Asia and went to GUM, your award trip would only cost 30,000 in C. Too bad HKG is considered South Asia.. and too bad OZ suspended service to GUM.

NH is the only *A that flies into GUM so your routing will take you from HKG-KIX-GUM. You will have to overnight in HKG since your flight from SFO gets in too late for the NH flight.

You can call UA and ask about availability for the NH flights. I did not see them on NH's website but NH is pretty good with availability Intra Asia. It's the TP segments that they never have available...
