Oh, dont worry about the Airbussy aircraft. At least you're not in the last row of a DC-9-30. Sitting literally next to the engine with alloy steel parts spinning around at 9,000 RPM can be bothersome at times - a couple passengers on Delta found that out the hard way.
I've done that! BWI to STL back when TWA was still around.
My worst seat, however, was on a CO 757 from EWR to LAS in a middle seat that had the recline broken.
