Put me in the I wouldn't have asked for compensation camp. I've stayed at dif hotels/chains where the fire alarm has gone off, and while not thrilled to be woken up, prefer that wake-up to flames & smoke coming through the door. Never occurred to me to ask for compensation. I'd say be glad you got your 10K points; hotel didn't need to do it IMO.
