I did it once, expected it to be around 7p, but thanks to flight delays and then traffic, it ended up being well after dark. The bus stopped maybe 30 yards past the station entrance, so just a short walk. A few less-than-savory folks on the street, but no one hassled me. Once in the station and upstairs, it felt pretty safe. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again.
