This year I have been travelling more than usual and will finish the BAEC period with app. 1600 points with current work related travel plans.

Would it be an idea to buy a long haul trip in Club for a city break in NYC to get above the 2000 points needed for a gold upgrade voucher?

How easy is it to get the upgrades to probably First on these vouchers?
