Confess I don't understand this line of thought. My father is on a route between TUL/DAL/HOU twice weekly - he earns more RRs than he could possibly use. That he gives them to me or my daughter to travel on so we can visit him means, somehow... what, that his earned RR is less important than yours?

I'm not advocating that RRs deserve special treatment with an A or premium boarding pass... but the idea that you don't want to get a poorer line position based on someone else using a shared RR doesn't make sense to me. If you don't want to be in the back of the group, check in earlier, and line up earlier, just like anyone else. This egalitarian attitude is a big part of Southwest's corporate culture.

I just don't see where whose reward those earlier boarders are using to travel is anyone else's business.
