Not an expert, but simple answer: On the 747, F is on the upper deck in a 2-2 configuration, on the 340, F is in a 1-2-1 configuration. So as a single traveller you might prefer the 340.

On LX, it is also 1-2-1. I'll leave the rest to the F flyers!
