I certainly like Blackbird and eat there several times a year (usually before the opera), but I won't call it romantic -- it's well lit and the tables are very close. I might well eat there more often but it's a 80 mile drive from Milwaukee! The Everest Room would also fit the bill (romantic and great food) . . and they certainly have gay employees .
