I have only done one transfer at BRU, and that was a long time ago with Sabena before I moved to BRU. But I believe that when you walk from your arrivals gate towards immigration, at some point on the right, there is a sign saying "Transfer to gates B1-B98" (or whatever the gate numbers are). When I peeked, I saw a security check-point there. So I assume that you will not have to go through immigration, and only through the transfer security.
