Nope, nobody else here seems to mind.
Sarcasm aside, this has been complained about more times than I could count. Just search for "empower" or "power port" and you'll find enough to make your eyes bleed.
The result of all the complaints appears to have been a large number of skykits issued and absolutely nothing else done in terms of maintenance.
