Since you're apparently relocating to DEN, this won't matter much...but for anyone living in Alaska, there is pretty much one game in town for air travel, and AS is it. With UA bailing next month, in addition to the usual seasonal drops...AS, NW and HP (God forbid) are pretty much it.

With regards to the OP, I agree...the red-eye hours are understaffed and too often most of those baggage check stations sit dark.
