I am wondering what is behind flying just for status ?
If you do not fly quite often you really do not need status.
Looks like quite big group of FT community fly just to get status... FTL/SEN or HON.
I can understand to fly with one more connections if you need 2.000 miles to get SEN but can not understand to fly 20 or 30k miles just to get FTL.
I personally would not make any trip (which are in 99% paid by my employer) just to get status. As I said... probably would make one more connection- that is all.
FFPs were invited to keep frequent travelers with one airline but I guess nobody expected that people would fly (spend a lot of money) just to get silver or gold card...
This is amazing for me that people spend tousands Euros just to get FTL and then use this card for a few entries to business lounge. Is it not better to use that money for business/first class ticket for the trip which is really necessary ?
I fly about 150k miles/year (90% in Y) and this is really too much for me.
