I think the special feeling tha Concorde lounge had has gone now she's out of service.
It wasnt so much about the room itself, which is no better than any of the other lounges at LHR, nor was it the service, which was of an expected level, it was the view and anticipation in the air (maybe this was just a 2003 thing...) when the ground crew brought the rocket around to the gate.
Now, when a boeing-somethingorother comes to gate, its like...well...to paraphrase Vicki Pollard... '747...yeah whatever'
