Were you placed on the 9th floor? I just checked in and the hotel put me into a newly renovated 9th floor room.....don't know if this means that I'd be subject to noise. However, judging from the location of the renovation, it appears the rooms to the left side of the RC had been renovated, while the rooms to the right side of the RC are still under renovation.
