I know I got better service than some other pax because there was a long line of angries at the counter when I arrived at the airport.
So - why can't they get the seat assignments right? I was in the dreaded 18A on the little RJ - across from the lav with 2A open.
My second flight was a little better, but there was still an elite seat open when I was almost at the back of the a/c.
No problem since I changed seats, but potentially unpleasant.
DL knows my preference. When deny me?

I asked about a CVG-ATL flight that was delayed 2 hours and was told it was in the hands of the gate agent so I headed there.
Nice Comair lady put me on the flight, assured me it was 15 minutes out and would turnaround quickly. Boarded and sat down. Didn't realize I was in F until the FA asked me if I wanted a drink.
Hurray Delta. Boo Avis.
Called Avis to move pickup location from BHM to ATL. Was told no more 1 way rentals available. ATL was a madhouse at 11:30 last night. Lots of late flights and cancellations and no 1-ways from any agency.
Booked a car and returned this morning. Bottom line: slept in my own bed last night. Initiative? Mine.
Sounds like the night from you know where.... sorry to hear about all the troubles, especially from my least favorite rental car company
I agree, I wish DL.com could figure out how to remember where I like to sit... I always pick 2B or 1C on MD-88 if available and every upgrade the clears they automatically put me in 4C or 4D. There has to be some rhyme to the madness.
