Great Review-Thanks! I have to agree that my experiences at both hotels are similar to yours- although location wise really depends on where the offices you are working with are. IF you are on the Pudong side, I highly recommend the new tower at Shangri-La which is wonderful. IF you are in the centre, you may want to use the JW Marriott- the club level is very good. A lot of people like the RC Portman, but personally I have never been impressed (and have given it a number of chances). For me, the FS location is great, but it depends again on where your business takes you- no views really though...
