I will meet the criteria for silver after my next flight in a few days. How soon does the new status take effect? Does it occur at the beginning of my new membership year or as soon as status is attained? I will be flying on a partner internationally in a couple of months. It would be nice to access the lounge during the layover with my Silver card.
