It's frustrating although admittedly not horrible. But let's cut him some slack.

As the only Starwood property in the area, I have stayed there numerous times and I can see this happening. The front desk staff, while perfectly pleasant, is terribly lazy. If they don't have the answer at hand, they will put forth ZERO effort to be of any assisstance or get you what you need. It is all about them.
Finally someone who understands one's plight rather than ASSuming and jumping to conclusions!

I did have a car, but was not at all familiar with the area, the hotel is a bit off the beaten path, no restaurants across/down the street, I did have a meeting that required me to be at the office before 8AM (and the drive was 25 minutes), yadayada. However, my original point was not so much the hired help that didn't show up for work (hey...this happens), rather the total attitude issue by the TWO front desk personnel. I have stayed at plenty of Sheraton properties over the years and have been extremely pleased...until this experience.
