I got a call this afternoon from the Delta robot informing me that one of my flights was cancelled. However, I was "protected" on a new pair of flights.

I know I got better service than some other pax because there was a long line of angries at the counter when I arrived at the airport.

So - why can't they get the seat assignments right? I was in the dreaded 18A on the little RJ - across from the lav with 2A open.

My second flight was a little better, but there was still an elite seat open when I was almost at the back of the a/c.

No problem since I changed seats, but potentially unpleasant.

DL knows my preference. When deny me?
