You are all assuming the OP had a car and could go elsewhere for breakfast. Or that he didn't have a 7:30am meeting on property that would have prevented him from going anywhere.

It's frustrating although admittedly not horrible. But let's cut him some slack.

As the only Starwood property in the area, I have stayed there numerous times and I can see this happening. The front desk staff, while perfectly pleasant, is terribly lazy. If they don't have the answer at hand, they will put forth ZERO effort to be of any assisstance or get you what you need. It is all about them.
