Thank you for your take on this situation. I really do appreciate it. I guess the only benefit would be not sitting ANYWHERE waiting for a plane for five hours!

But you are correct, the layover is very short in Paris and that would be a problem if they were delayed. Just more added stress that we don't need.

I'm hearing the Crown Room in ATL services pretzels. We'll be there from 2:10 to 7:20 p.m., so that doesn't even sound appealing (to be in the Crowne Room).

Since we will have PLENTY of time and we are not familiar with ATL, is there one lounge that is better than another (we are flying First/Biz from SMF to AMS and return). We are not any sort of elite members, so it is just a paid ticket (so I may not have access to some of the other rooms...probably just Delta's because of a paid First Class international ticket...again, just guessing).

How about a really, really nice restaurant? Anything come to mind? We don't really care how much it cost....it can't be THAT bad. (grin
