Hmmm ... there are some contradictions here.
The
oneworld site
clearly indicates AAdvantage Platinum Flyers have
Sapphire status and have access to "Business Class priority check-in".
However, the AAdvantage
Platinum Guide states indicate AAdvantage Plats can use First Class check in counters of American Airlines and
oneworld Partner Airlines.
I can understand this in the US for AA as there are very few (if any) J check-in counters, but it surprises me
oneworld Airline counters are included as well. It may be that its in the US only for First class counters and the Platinum guide is slightly incorrect.
