Arrow DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Holland {US-MI}

I am finishing a stay here, and it is quite a nice hotel.

This is a recently renovated Holiday Inn, and it looks like they pretty much changed everything inside. Although the hotel still has the bones of a Holiday Inn, everything is fresh and new. The beds are quite comfortable, the room is OK in size, but the bathroom is so small, that it can challenge a plane lavatory.

Breakfast is not included, but I got the coupons for being a Diamond. The breakfast is a good buffet that has the usual items, eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, pancakes or French toast, oatmeal, pastries, yogurt, milk, cereal, juices, and some of the biggest cinnamon buns I have ever seen. I will try one tomorrow

If it wasn't because the breakfast is a benefit of having status, not sure I would dish out $15 for it.

The restaurant, is in the first floor, and hidden like a bunker. Not necessarily unappealing, but not the nicest place either. But I must say I was surprised with the quality of the food, you can have a very good dinner for $20. Today I had the Delmonico steak which was excellent. I guess I've had dinner at this restaurant for most of the week, since I have been working late .

The ribs, which claim that it has been a recipe being developed for 10 years, need another 4 years or so of research, so I would stay away from them.

The exercise room has dumbbells ^

One thing that is most strange, my personal laptop (I am using works to post this) can't access the internet, other than www.google.com , everything else fails I can access all the google sites, maps, financial, anything and with decent speed, but everything else times out. Talking with the tech support from India for 30 minutes didn't help.

Complaining to the front desk didn't do anything either.

Bottom line, it is a nice hotel, clean with small bathrooms, good breakfast if you get the coupons, and a particularly good restaurant, but the internet is a mystery
